Estrogenic and Androgenic Considerations

At 100 mg/mL, more active ingredient is dissolved than the carrier oil would normally hold at equilibrium. When temperatures drop below 20°C, solubility decreases and excess methenolone precipitates as needle-shaped crystals (FDA NDA 216318, 2023).
If a vial appears cloudy or contains visible crystals, warming it can redissolve the testosterone. A widely practiced method:
- Place the vial in a sealed plastic bag to keep water away from the rubber stopper.
- Submerge in warm water (100°F to 110°F) for at least 15 minutes.
- Swirl gently. Don’t shake aggressively.
- Keep submerged until the solution is completely clear.
Unopened vials typically carry a manufacturer-assigned shelf life of 24 to 36 months when stored properly. After expiration, potency may decline enough to affect treatment outcomes, and using expired medication is a decision best discussed with the prescribing provider. If routine blood work shows unexpectedly low levels, an expired or improperly stored vial is one variable to rule out.
